This is a group for Black women that belly dance to come together and dance for the sake of dancing. I envision a group that raises money for causes pertinent to our community. It is not often that I see Black belly dancers when I perform in Arizona and while I love everyone, it is a bit disheartening. Belly dancing came from Africa, yet people ignore this fact, which does not make the fact more or less true :) Come shimmy with me!! :)

Hey! Are you an older woman, and some years ago you used to belly-dance! Maybe as a performer, maybe you took a class, but you loved it and you did have at least some instruction. (If you are a beginner, this meetup is not for you. I suggest taking one of the beginner's belly dance classes that are available at most of the Parks and Recreation Centers in the Valley).
